The launching ceremony of the Festival of Cricket 2016 was held on Sunday the 8th May at the Essex County Cricket Ground in Chelmsford Essex, before and during the Interval of the inaugural match between the Sri Lankan Test team and Essex County Cricket Club.

Festival of Cricket UK Donates Medical Equipment to Base Hospital in Welikanda

Festival of cricket, a UK based charity, which comprises of 31 Sri Lankan Old Boys Associations in the United Kingdom, have donated medical equipment costing more than Rs600,000 from their charity collection.

These funds were raised in July 2014, during its annual festival which was held in Merchant Taylor School Grounds where more than 5,000 Sri Lankan expats attended. The event was sponsored by Bank of Ceylon UK Branch and Sri Lankan Air Lines UK Branch.
